World Cup 2022: A reception in honor of Achraf Hakimi in Ksar El Kébir.
On the occasion of this celebration, organized by the city council, Achraf Hakimi's name was given to one of the football stadiums built in the city, where the mother of the national team star and Paris Saint-Germain player is from.
In the presence of a large crowd, a football match was played between former Moroccan stars, including former international player Jaouad Zaïri and coach Rachid Taoussi and former football players from Ksar El Kebir clubs. The stadium walls were decorated with two mural paintings that immortalize the most intense moments of Achraf Hakimi's interaction with his mother during the Qatar World Cup.
In the new stadium bearing the player's name, sports events were organized with the participation of athletes and martial arts teams.
In a statement to the press, Achraf Hakimi expressed his joy at being among the Moroccan public and fans in the city of Ksar El Kébir, with which he has memories and where he spent some moments of his childhood, noting that he will continue to work with the Atlas Lions for future achievements that will delight the public.
The city council had announced that the organization of this ceremony, as part of the continuation of the celebration of the historical achievement of the Atlas Lions, the first Arab and Muslim team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.
