Spain. Polisario leader hopes to return to Algeria on the sly
The information was revealed by his right-hand man Salem Lebsir who, in an interview with Spanish media OK Diario at Logroño hospital, said the bulky patient will go away without being worried. "Bahim Ghali will leave Spain without appearing before a judge." "As soon as he has recovered, in 10 days, he will leave the country (...) Why would he go to court? Said Salem Lebsir, who was pictured alongside fellow Polisario member Abdallah Hamad in a waiting room at San Pedro de Logroño hospital.
Summoned to appear on June 1 by the national audience, Brahim Ghali refused to sign the summons, he is still awaiting the order of a mysterious figure who accompanied him under another false identity.
On the other hand, the Spanish government continues to get bogged down in the Ben Batouche scandal by trying to involve the EU in the affair. Foreign Minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya said in a statement that Brahim Ghali "once recovered from his health problems should respond to a case before the national court before returning to his own country".
One thing is certain, the Spaniards will discover that their government is protecting a criminal. Four complaints against Ghali for rape of a Spanish citizen, for torture and for terrorism, have been lodged by the Canary Islands Association of Victims of Terrorism.
Indeed, the Spanish victims of the terrorist acts perpetrated by the Polisario separatists demanded the immediate arrest of the so-called Brahim Ghali, admitted to a hospital in Logrono, under a false identity and with forged papers to escape Spanish justice.
The leader of the separatists is accused of “assassinations of Canarian workers” in the territory of the Sahara, as well as of being “the sponsor of assassinations, collective kidnappings and disappearances on the high seas of crews of Canarian sailors, during the period from 1973 to the end of 1986 ”.
