Health: Ait Taleb undertakes to meet once a month with the unions in the sector
As agreed, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, met on Wednesday December 15 with the two general secretaries of the Union Coordination composed of four unions, UNTM, UMT, CDT, FDT.
The meeting, which lasted nearly three hours at the minister's office in Rabat, took place in a "very positive atmosphere, and in a framework of mutual transparency and honesty, especially after the congestion experienced by the transport sector. health and the repetitive protests of workers in the sector, ”says the Coordination.
During this meeting, held in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry, the Director of Human Resources and an adviser from the Minister's office, the two parties expressed their desire to overcome this atmosphere "disturbed for the good of workers in the sector" .
To do this, and after having deliberated and discussed various aspects that hold the attention of all categories of health personnel, whether it is a question of means of improving their material, professional and social conditions, or even the revision and reform of the health system and legal texts
associated with him, the general secretaries of trade union coordination and the ministry have agreed on several points.
The first point is the necessary and continued involvement of quadripartite trade union coordination in all issues and laws affecting health personnel, in addition to institutionalizing the sectoral dialogue in a new format.
It was also agreed to hold multiple technical and practical meetings with the quadripartite trade union coordination on the subject of the public health service and the demands of all categories of health workers.
Thus, it was agreed to hold a meeting every month, between the union coordination and the Ministry of Health, as a monitoring and evaluation mechanism in order to accelerate the pace of work of the technical committees, develop their performance and bring out the public health service law as soon as possible, the coordination said.
A first meeting will therefore be held between the two parties on Monday, December 20, announced the union coordination, still on the subject of the public service. The two parties thus committed themselves at the end of Wednesday's meeting, to respect these agreements in order to meet the expectations of employees in the sector, in parallel with the reform of the health system.
