 The aircraft manufacturer, Airbus reported on Monday, July 18, an order from the Moroccan Royal Air Forces (FRA) for the acquisition of a fleet of H135 helicopters for primary military training missions.

In a press release, Airbus explains the light twin-engine H135, a benchmark helicopter in the segment, will be used to train pilots to carry out a wide range of demanding missions.

The head of Africa and the Middle East at Airbus Helicopters, Arnaud Montalvo, expressed his pride in this collaboration. “We are proud that the Royal Air Forces have chosen the H135 for their training missions. It is a reliable and economical multi-role helicopter, perfectly suited for the transition to more complex aircraft,” he said.

And to add: “We are sure that the H135s will be a major asset for their fleet and we look forward to providing them with the best support in cooperation with our strategic partner Heliconia with its entry into service in the country”.

According to Airbus, the contract covers a package of support services including the delivery of flight training devices and the training of instructor pilots and maintenance pilots, the statement said, noting that the training program will allow FRAs take full advantage of the H135's multi-mission capabilities, such as NVGs and winching.

With more than 130 units operated by military agencies worldwide for training missions, the IFR-certified H135 is a benchmark for military training helicopters worldwide, having already achieved more than 400,000 flight hours. military training.

It should also be noted that this new order extends the global fleet to 12 military customers, including the armed forces of the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and Japan.
