American
elections. No blue wave, counting interrupted in Pennsylvania and Georgia
As Republicans keep their eyes on Florida, and Democratic hopes
turn to Arizona, the count has been halted overnight in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania and the most populous county in Georgia. The opening of the
ballots will not resume until Wednesday morning.
The American night could last for days. It is still too early to
say which Donald Trump or Joe Biden will win. In particular because thousands
of postal ballots, widely acclaimed during this presidential election, are
still waiting to be counted.
But it is already possible to say that the blue wave will not take
place. The two candidates are neck and neck in the race for the White House. At
midnight Washington time (5 a.m. GMT Wednesday) Donald Trump seemed in the best
position to win Florida, one of the famous Swing States, and its 29 voters, but
Joe Biden was close to winning his bet in Arizona, another state - presidential
keys.
